The Idea & Challenge
Creating a sensitive, immersive digital companion to the printed poetry anthology 'Chronic Poetics', expanding the collection with exclusive artist interviews and educational health resources.
Role & Technical Scope
Full-stack developer building the responsive web publication using Next.js and Firebase, working in collaboration with publishers Colliding Lines and Point Positive Publishing.
Outcome & Learning
Successfully launched the digital publication and virtual gallery companion to the printed anthology, funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
- Digital Publication: Built and launched the responsive Next.js web publication companion to the printed collection, presenting poetry, essays, and visual media exploring experiences with chronic conditions.
- Virtual Art Gallery: Served as a companion virtual gallery to the publication, reaching hundreds of people and showcasing artwork alongside written pieces.
- Public Funding & Impact: Delivered on project milestones supported by public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England, amplifying patient advocacy voices.
